These scissors have been made in India by a family that has been making scissors for generations. The blades are hand-forged carbonized steel and the handles are cast brass. Each scissor is signed by the maker. In addition to having great decorative appeal, these scissors are excellent utilitarian tools for home or office. To prevent steel from rusting a thin coat of oil should be applied to the blades when not being regularly used. Due to their potential to rust they are not recomended as gardening tools.
